Have you ever dreamed of catching a live glimpse of a Google Street View car? Well, unfortunately, this is not the kind of sighting anyone would wish for.
Reports from various Romanian media outlets indicate that a Google Street View car, driven by a 51 year old driver, was involved in a reckless maneuver that resulted in a collision with a train in Butoiești county, Mehedinți, Romania yesterday morning. Despite the driver’s efforts, he was unable to avoid the train’s path, and the car – equipped with sophisticated gear worth tens of thousands of euros – was flung several meters off the railway. The driver miraculously survived with non-life-threatening injuries, but a criminal case has been launched in his name as the authorities seek to establish the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident.
